After a back-and-forth game, the Badgers came out on top 54-52 for their 17th consecutive regular season victory. The Badger boys were back on the court this past weekend. After a long holiday break, the Badgers loaded up Friday and travelled to Heart Butte to take on the Warriors. On December 19 the Shelby Coyotes came to Cascade and played a tough game, resulting in a 42-28 loss for the Badgers. The Badger boys hit the court on Tuesday, December 19th and welcomed the Class B Shelby Coyotes for a couple of games before the long holiday break. There was basketball action Saturday morning at Cascade Public Schools, as elementary basketball teams from the towns of Cascade, Belt and Fairfield met for some friendly competition. Teams were divided into 1st - 2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade, and 5th grade. Ability, of course, varied from each age group. The little ones were fun to watch; they just wanted to have fun, not knowing much of the rules, and depending on their coaches for direction (one even ran toward the wrong goal with the ball!)....

The winter season sports started this weekend when Cascade hosted the wrestling Badger Invitational, held at the North Gym. For many of these athletes, it's the culmination of months of preparation, both physically and mentally, getting themselves ready for this day! We are honored that our own Badger grid iron stand-out Caiden Sekuterski is being recognized as a 2023 All-State selection.
