Hello April! It seems to me like it came in fast with Easter being the day before. The Ulm Community turned out in full force for the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. We estimate that around 300 kids participated with all their cute outfits and baskets, buckets and bags for a quick retrieval of over 4000 eggs. They brought parents, Grandparents, family and friends. The place was packed and it was great to meet new people and see our old friends as well. We were blessed to be able to give away 4...

Good day fellow Ulmites. How is everyone surviving? We survived the negative 40 real temps, we survived all the sickness that was going around (and still is) we survived the crazy weather that stranded some in Lincoln and Missoula. Now we are loving this warmer weather, but we still have people struggling with winter animal babies. They come in the worst weather so this is a nice reprieve for a while. I hope everyone is well and getting out in the sunshine when we have it to soak in all the...

The Ulm Pinochle Club met at Erin Faulkners house last Monday where she and Valerie Fowler hosted. We had so much fun as always and even had a couple of double pinochles to announce. Val and Severin each had one and believe me there's a lot of hooping and hollering when it happens. I ended up having high score for the night and Loretta ended up with low score by only 10 points. It's always a great time to snack and visit and have a fun night out for us ladies. Next month we will be doing a...

The Ulm Volunteer Firefighters would like to thank everone who attended our annual Pancake Supper. The Firefighters along with the great help from all of our home town 4-H kids served over 400 meals, both at the fire hall and home deliveries. Donations were very good with over $17,600. dollars raised. This money will be put to good use very shortly, as we will be breaking ground on Phase 2 of the fire hall build. Phase 2 is a 50 by 50 foot meeting room that will be used for firefighter training, meetings and other community activities. Again a...

  • Ulm Volunteer Fire Department Pancake Supper

    Ray Castellanos, Courier Reporter|Sep 28, 2023

Area residents really came out to support the Ulm Volunteer Fire Department's Annual Pancake Supper Saturday evening. The all-you-could eat supper consisted of bacon, sausage, ham, or links, eggs, and of course, pancakes, plus your choice of coffee, tea, orange juice or milk. Seemed like the line was never-ending as people kept coming in throughout the evening. Good food, good conversation among friends and family, and all for a good cause. Thanks for supporting our fire-fighting...

A grand time was had by all. Once again the Ulm Volunteer Fire Department team out did themselves on the pancake supper. It was a steady stream of hungry patrons from 2-8. At times the line was out the door. Everyone had such a great time visiting and catching up with one another. Sometimes we only see our neighbors once a year at this social event. There were lots of deserts to bid on and some household items also, to help raise money for our crew. Its great to see the community and...

Well, my life revolves around 4-H and it seems we don't really get summer till the fair is over. I'm sure a lot of you still remember those days or are living those days. Don't forget to come get your ice cream at the fair. Our club is working 29,30th and 31st. So this is the place that I post all of the results from the Cascade...
