Welcome to October where we have no idea how to dress! I am loving the cooler weather at night, but the mornings are already rough on me. We have October birthdays to get wished on: Valerie Fowler started us out on the 1st; Trent Leardini, 2nd; Greg Gould, 4th; John Olson, 7th; Andrew Gould and Brandon Gould, 8th; Mary Collins, Ron Stevenson and Walt Roberts, 9th; Keegan Hawn, 10th; Zach Henrie, 11th; Amber Gould, Jennifer Schlotter and Ryan Bogden, 15th; Mike Schubert and Robert Hicks, 18th; Jake Hathaway, 20th; Melissa Hoffman, 22nd; Reece Hastings, 24th;Amanda Hicks, 25th; Brett Irvin <3 and Byron Faulkner, 26th; Carol Ennen, Brenda Miles and Larry Kelly, 27th; Kathy Mellinger and John Kennedy, 28th; Marjie Hicks and Jody Cordell, 29th. We had our Ulm Pishkun 4-H meeting on the 1st and it was officer election day. Always well attended and fun. We played the telephone game to get us all acquainted as we have about 3-4 new families this year. We voted and re-voted as we had a 3 way tie at one point and another tie for historian. When all was said and done here are our new leaders for the year on our board. Leann Murphy- President, Asher Nelson- Vice President, Blake Leardini-Secretary, Seth Juhl-Treasurer, Reece Hastings-Historian and Tristen Short-Recreation Leader. It's going to be a great year with a great group of leaders and members.

Truth Trackers at Ulm Bible Church is officially kicking off this week. We had ice cream and sign up last Wednesday. We would love to have more kids come join us. We eat dinner at 6:00 and the meeting starts at 6:30. Come get signed up and have some fun learning about God's Word.

We have another child from our Ulm community that has cancer that we all need to rally around. We know and are praying for Harper Spurzem, ( who is getting some good reports) and just found out that Owen Kinane (Rebecca Roberts) little boy has B cell Leukemia. He is being treated in Denver after being flown down there from WY. Rebecca and her husband Roman have another little boy to take care of also. Shauna and Walt Roberts are the Grandparents of Owen. Both he and Harper need a ton of prayers as do their family members.

The Montana Barrel Horse Association had it's year end championships at the fairgrounds in Great Falls this past weekend. They had a ton of riders and some really extra fast times. It was a chilly one, but they are tough. Some of the 4-Hr's and others helped with raking, barrel setting and gates. It takes a huge team to put this event on and Juli Jo Kelly does a great job making everything happen the way it should. Juli Jo and Larry Kelly, Nina and Lynn Formell, Kelly Young, and Shea Berner are some of the Ulm area people who ran. Larry and Lynn took home some money which is always a plus. Great season everyone, I admire you all!

Coming up is Ulm pinochle club on Oct 9th. I have to miss it this month and it makes me sad. They will be playing at Mary P's house. Stay tuned for results. Have a great week everyone.
