Ulm News

September 28, 2023

A grand time was had by all. Once again the Ulm Volunteer Fire Department team out did themselves on the pancake supper. It was a steady stream of hungry patrons from 2-8. At times the line was out the door. Everyone had such a great time visiting and catching up with one another. Sometimes we only see our neighbors once a year at this social event. There were lots of deserts to bid on and some household items also, to help raise money for our crew. Its great to see the community and surrounding areas come support our firehall. You never know when your life might depend on them and we want them trained, prepared and to have great equipment to work with. The Ulm Pishkun 4-H crew helped serve, cook, restock, clean and do whatever was needed. We love seeing them jump in and work hard. They have a lot of fun and get to know each other better at events like this. Thank you to the Fairhaven colony for donating buns and eggs. We love those buns! Thank you to everyone else who pitched in, it takes a team to make this event a success. Last but not least thank you to everyone that showed up and donated. Thankyou to our Fire department team members for keeping us safe and cheers to another successful year.

In other news, the Ulm Pishkun 4-H Club will have it's October meeting on Oct. 1st. We will be electing officers to get this year rolling. We will see every one at 2:00 at the Ulm Bible Church. Truth Trackers is OFFICIALLY starting Oct 4th at 6:00 BUT we are having an ice cream social and sign up on Wed. If you miss sign up please come on Wednesday and we'll jump right in. Dinner is at 6:00 EACH Wed. and then the program begins at 6:00. Hope to see all the kiddos from K-6th grade on Wednesday nights at the church.

Keep enjoying this beautiful fall weather while it lasts.
