Badger Track & Field Attend Seeley Swan Invite in Missoula

Cody Park Pole Vault

The SSHS Invitational is one of the largest track meets held in the state with 27 class B and C teams in attendance. The Badger boys team placed 10th overall while the girls placed 13th. There were a number of Personal Records set as everyone is working to improve their individual marks with the Top 8, Districts, Divisionals and State quickly approaching.

Peyton Hauk placed 11th out of 55 400m runners, Trent Lane ran a personal best and placed 11th out of 45 runners in the 1600m with a time of 5:01. Senior exchange student Martin Bodnar placed 12th out of 45 in the 800m run with a personal best time. Brent Ethridge placed 6th in the Shot Put with 43-10.5. Cody Park placed 10th in the Pole Vault with 9-6. Caiden Sekuterski placed 1st in the long jump with 22-.5, and first in the Triple Jump with a personal best jump of 46-4.5, which is currently the best jump in the state in Class C.

On the Girls side, Braedyn Johnson led the way with a personal best in the High Jump,

4-10, placing 3rd. She also placed 5th in the Triple Jump and 10th in the Long Jump. Sayre McElroy placed 8th in the javelin with a throw of 93-11, a personal best, as well as 3rd in the Shot Put with 30-11. Junior Sophia Mortag had a good day on the track with a 5th place in the 1600 (6:02), and a personal best in the 400.

Breadyn Johnson High Jump

Sophomore Ashlyn Korst placed 10th in the 100m hurdles with a personal best time of 18.06.

Thursday the Badgers will be in Choteau and Power, and hosting the Cascade Top 8 Meet in Great Falls on Tuesday, April 30.

Cora Culp-Long Jump; Braedyn Johnson-High Jump; Kyleigh Knowlden-100m Hurdles, Triple Jump; Ashlyn Korst-100m Hurdles; Sayre McElroy-Javelin.
