Sandra O. Mikita of Helena, MT, formerly of Cascade, MT, died peacefully the morning of September 20, 2023.

She loved painting and sewing and was an incredible cook. She was an incredibly kind and caring woman and, above all, the best mother anyone could ask for.She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and was loved by all who knew her even up until the end.

Sandy is survived by her two children, Kathy (Jim) Best of Cutchogue, NY; Jess Canada of Helena, MT; one grandson, Corey Best of Kirkland, WA; and a brother, William O'Shields Jr. of Franklinville, NC.
