Americans to conduct Red & White Scrimmage on September 2nd in Great Falls

GREAT FALLS, Mont., August 17, 2023 — The 2023-24 Great Falls Americans Junior A hockey team will make their debut in front of the home fans for a friendly “Red vs. White” scrimmage on Saturday, September 2nd at 7:00PM (MST) at the Great Falls Ice Plex. The players will be arriving soon and are slated to begin practice on Monday, August 28th with an intrasquad game on the first Saturday of September. The scrimmage is FREE and open to the public with drinks and merchandise available to purchase.
Season ticket holders can pick up your tickets at this event as well. The Americans will be debuting their new uniforms that night. Come on out and watch the 2023-24 edition of the Great Falls Americans.
After the scrimmage, be sure to catch the Great Falls Americans hockey team in action for their season opening weekend on Friday, September 8th and Saturday, September 9th when they play host to the Yellowstone Quake, based out of Cody, Wyoming. The Americans have a new start time of 7:00PM (MST) this season for most of their regular season home dates. The Americans will be having a “Tailgate Party” on Saturday (Sept. 9th) at 5:00PM before the game starts that will feature hot dogs and refreshments along with “After Five”, who will be performing live.
Also new this season, will be the introduction of NAHL TV, who will be taking over streaming rights for the NA3HL after having HockeyTV for the past few seasons. Other new tidbits since the 2022-23 season concluded; the Americans have a new owner in Matt Leaf, the Great Falls Americans unveiled a new website (www.greatfallsamericans.com) with a fresh, crisp look replacing the old website (gfamericans.com). In early August, the Americans debuted their first online merchandise and ticket sales store. Fans can purchase a variety of Americans merchandise and purchase tickets online. Tickets can still be purchased on game nights at the door.
