ATHLETE OF THE WEEK TRACK

Week 1

Caiden Seketurski

Returning state champion triple jumper is a vital part of our team not only in his individual events but as a member of the 4x100 relay team. Caiden pre-qualified for state in the triple jump and the long jump during the first meet of the year, winning both events, along with the 100m. Caiden is a competitor and continues to get faster and stronger, making him one of the top forces in the state in the sport of track and field.

Maialen Casado Camacho

Maialen has been such a wonderful addition to our team this season, as she has an amazing positive attitude, hard work ethic and the athleticism and skill to go along with it. She has consistently placed in the 100m dash and the long jump at all of our meets so far this season and is a vital contributor to the success of both the girls relay teams.

Week 2

Brant Ligameri

With only 3 track meets under his belt in his high school career, Brant has already set a new Freshman school record for the High Jump with his jump of 5'10". He won the high jump in Fort Benton, and took 5th in Havre. Brant is also excelling in the long and triple jumps where he set personal bests this past weekend in Havre and is inching closer to the freshman records in these events as well. Brant is extremely coachable, taking every opportunity and instruction he is given to better his abilities in his events. We are excited to see him continue to grow and compete.

Sayre McElroy

Braedyn Johnson passes the baton to Maialen as the girls 4x100 wins the race in Cut Bank

Sayre is leading the team in Personal Records set so far this season. Sayre PR'd in all three of her throwing events last weekend in Cut Bank, and then again in Fort Benton this past week in the discus and the javelin giving her total five PRs for just three meets. She placed 5th in the shot put in Cut Bank, 5th in fort benton, 3rd in discus and 5th in javelin. Sayre has become a student of her events and spends extra time learning the techniques. She is coachable, has a very positive attitude and will be a big contributor for the girls team come time for the district meet.
