On 12/19/23 the Cascade Government visited the Great Falls District Courthouse. The students were given a tour of the judge's chamber, records rooms, cells, and tower. Next, with the guidance of Judge Grubich, the students put on their mock trial. A woman was bitten by a dog and her rose flowers were destroyed, so she went to court against the dog owner. They did an amazing job, and Judge Grubich was fantastic and so helpful in the education he offered. After the mock trial, students went to Justice Court with Judge Bailey and experienced lower level offenses. They were able to speak with the judge beforehand. After lunch they listened in on Judge Kutzman's court with higher level charges such as drug, left, and abuse. It was a great educational day.
