As Christmas is rapidly approaching that means that the 4th annual Belt Christmas Stroll is also on the horizon and should be marked on every calendar. The Christmas Stroll is an event put on by the Belt Chamber of Commerce on Saturday December 2nd. It gives local business owners the opportunity to showcase and sell merchandise for the holiday season, all while giving the community a family fun event.

A tremendous amount of goods and services will be available for attendees, including Christmas ornaments, food and drink, crafts, and more durable goods as well. It is a really festive atmosphere and a great way to kick off the Holiday Season.

There will be many festivities and activities happening throughout the stroll. The stroll includes vendors of all kinds throughout the theater, senior center and the VFW. There is also a Christmas movie for the kids that will be played at the theater. Santa and his elves will be available for pictures as ell as the tree lighting in the little park.

The Belt Valley Chamber of Commerce is an active organization that promotes economic growth for local businesses. In addition to the Christmas Stroll, the Chamber has created the popular Farmer’s Market that fills the streets of Belt every Friday afternoon during the summer months.

Relative to most little towns, Belt has an exceptionally vibrant downtown business district. Even in larger cities, many a business is shuttered these day, but local merchants and the Chamber of Commerce help Belt’s economy survive in good times and in bad.
