Few people know that for the last five or six years, 92-year old Korean War Veteran,Earl Sukut, has quietly taken it upon himself to maintain Joe's Trail on the Frontage road outside of Cascade. He starts at the Trailhead, clipping off dead branches from the trees and shrubs, and continues up the Trail, doing likewise. He politely greets those that use the trail as he's working. Eugene and Charlene Thompson help Earl out by removing the bundles Earl has carefully set aside, and taking them to the dump. Next time you see Earl, tell him how much you appreciate him!
