SCHOOL TRUSTEE ELECTION BY ACCLAMATION

Under MCA 20-3-313, if the number of candidates filing for vacant positions or filing a declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate is equal to or less than the number of positions to be elected, the trustees may cancel the election. As of the March 31st deadline, two candidates had filed for the two vacant trustee positions. The school trustee election has been declared canceled by election administrator, Karsen Floerchinger on behalf of the Cascade Board of Trustees. Chris Wilson and Rick Cummings will take seat on the Board at the May 16, 2023 Annual Organizational Meeting.

SCHOOL LEVY ELECTION

Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Clerk of Cascade School District No. 3 & B, Cascade County, State of Montana that the Annual School Election will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, by mail ballot. Electors will consider the following issues at the election:

Mill levy proposition to finance the school’s Building Reserve Fund, Cascade School Dist No. 3 (Elementary)

Mill levy proposition to finance the school’s Building Reserve Fund, Cascade School Dist No. B (High School)

Two community meetings were held to provide information pertaining to the Levy Election on April 4th at the Cascade Senior Center and on April 6th at Cascade Schools.

Mail ballots will be sent out April 14th.
