Early morning fire at Cascade Public Schools Tuesday led to the school canceling classes for the day. Described as "a small fire" in the notice sent to parents, the fire department was there to assess the situation. One teacher who had been there early, described the smell as when the furnace comes on with a dirty filter. Students who had already been sent on the bus were dropped of at the Methodist Church where parents could make arrangements to pick them up.
